Ph.D Student
I am a Ph.D. student in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis, specializing in Biosystems Engineering. My research focuses on agricultural robotics safety, autonomous agricultural vehicles, and AI-driven sensing technologies. I am currently working on the development of safety assessment protocols for autonomous agricultural vehicles
and transportation safety evaluation systems.
I earned my M.S. in Bio-production Machinery Engineering from Chungnam National University, South Korea, where my research focused on proximal sensing and multispectral imaging for crop nutrient management. My academic and research experience includes UAV-based sensing, LiDAR applications, GIS and remote sensing, machine learning for agriculture,
agricultural robotics, and smart farming systems.
I have contributed to multiple international research projects involving autonomous driving LiDAR evaluation, AI-based livestock monitoring, soil sensing technologies, and precision crop management. I have authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles in areas including remote sensing, agricultural machinery, AI applications in agriculture, and smart
agricultural systems. My technical expertise includes Python programming, Machine learning, MPC-based control systems, ArcGIS, UAV data processing, and agricultural sensing technologies.
