Mala Parvin

2nd year Ph.D. student in Biosystems Engineering at UC Davis. As Graduate Student Researcher working in the Agricultural Health and Safety Lab focusing on enhancing farmer’s safety using drone technology. Also working as a Teaching Assistant in the Plant Science Department. Completed M.Sc. in Farm Power & Machinery (2019) and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering (2015) from Bangladesh, with research centered on solar conduction drying and Mechanical rice transplanting. Awards received include the Peter J. Shields Award (2024-2025), National Science and Technology fellowship (2018), and the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal Award (2017). Formerly worked as an Officer at Rupali Bank Limited in Bangladesh (December,2019-August,2023).
