Agricultural ATV Safety Research

ATV incidents are the second-leading cause of death in the agricultural industry and the leading cause among youths, with rollovers accounting for about 85% of fatal crashes. Our lab conducted comprehensive studies related to ATV safety in collaboration with several centers.

Other Research

As climate change drives rising temperatures and more frequent extreme weather events, agricultural workers face an increasing risk of heat-related illnesses (HRI). To combat this challenge, we are developing affordable and accessible advanced tools designed to predict, prevent, and mitigate HRI risks.

Heat-Related Illness Prevention

Heat-related illnesses (HRI) are a growing concern for farmers as global temperatures continue to rise. This project aims to prevent HRI and protect farmworkers from heat stress.
